In response to the ever-growing threat of cybercrime, the Singapore Government has increased its focus on building a resilient cyber environment.
On the 10 July 2017, the Government announced the public consultation of a new standalone Cybersecurity Act. In light of the current regulatory climate, it is imperative for businesses to formulate robust responses to cyber threats.
In this awareness workshop, Ren Jun will outline the present legal regime, discuss prospective changes to the law and share his thoughts on preventing cybersecurity risks
Following the presentation there will be a feedback and Q&A session.
Speaker Profile
Ren Jun Lim is an Associate Principal with Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow. He represents local and international clients in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters. He also advises on a full range of healthcare, as well as consumer goods-related legal and regulatory issues.
Ren Jun sits on the Firm’s Asia Pacific Healthcare Group's Steering Committee and Leadership Team. He is a member of the Firm's Asia Pacific Healthcare Group's Compliance; ASEAN Economic Community; Product Liability; and Regulatory Sub-Committees. He is also a member of the Firm’s Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Group’s Anti-Counterfeiting Sub-Committee.
